Racco and the Environment

Racco’s Entire focus is on human development therefore, nurturing and maintaining strong relationships with the community, consultants and customers. The use of recycled materials to print business cards and other promotional items, ecological awareness when selecting product ingredients, consistent studies and contribution to local and global environmental projects are just a few of the steps that are taken to assure Racco is living up to its claim of being an environmentally friendly company.

Racco has partnered with Posigraf to print the monthly catalogs and magazines using the Zero Carbon Product Seal. This monitoring system follows the guidelines of the GHG Protocol, (Greenhouse Gas Protocol) which is used internationally by companies to measure and manage the emissions of greenhouse gases.

Racco’s state of the art sewage treatment site allows all the water used by the Company to be returned to nature as close to its original state as possible. This is made possible through a modern purification process, which prevents the pollution of millions of gallons of river water and rainwater tanks.

A system to capture rainwater is in the process of being developed by Racco. Collecting rain water is common in many parts of the world. The water is usually collected from the roofs and used for drinking, cooking, washing, personal hygiene, watering the plants and animals and various other uses. The focus of this project is the preservation of a limited natural resource essential to human survival. The idea is to extend this benefit to all employees of the Company, including the entire team of Consultants, Managers and Directors.

Racco’s social responsibility is based on an ethical and open relationship with the community, aiming to raise awareness and contribute to the sustainable development of the communities, while preserving environmental and cultural resources for future generations. Racco views diversity as a beautiful thing and strives to help rid the world of social inequalities. Racco supports many programs which help to create safer, cleaner, and more environmentally friendly institutions such as orphanages, nursing homes and day cares.

Racco does not do any type of animal testing and never destroys any type of native forests for the extraction of its raw materials. The suppliers help local communities by preserving natural resources during the extracting processes of actives such as ucuúba and Andiroba, which are used in the cosmetics. The labor is done by people trained and regulated by the countries local laws. In this way Racco is helping local communities strengthen their economy and is offering a better quality of life.
